When Frederick II came to power in 1740, his family, the Hohenzollerns, ruled over the seperate and less powerful states of Brandenburg and Prussia. By the time of his death 40 years later, Frederick had brought these states together and added territory, doubling the size of his kingdom. He increased its wealth, made it a great center of learning, and changed it into a military power stronger than Austria.

Traits & Abilities:

The Seven Years War. Russia joined in with Austria and France against Prussia and England. Since England was fighting France in America, however, Frederick had to fight Austria and Russia in Europe by himself. He won the war, that mean Frederick is a very intelligent man and a military genious.
